School’s Out!

Pupils, think YOU look forward to the six weeks holiday? Well, never as much as your teachers! Well done all those truly hard-working people within education up and down the country, you’ve made it; another year down, another summer to enjoy! And for anyone who has some how missed the Mastercard advert, this is precisely how it feels . . .

As for me, my Friday celebrations include having a snooze, a glass of wine and a cultural evening at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall to see the Symphony Orchestra play music by film composer John Williams. Including music from: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Schindler’s List, Munich, Star Wars, The Witches of Eastwick, JFK, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial and Superman. Perhaps not the most rock and roll, but delightful none the less. The real letting down of hair will happen next week when my body can cope!

Have a delightful weekend, and a lovely long sleep to our county’s educators!
